Ycee Talks About His Flow In New EP

If you’ve been following Ycee for the last few months you will know that he’s been readying his latest project for release and in April, his lucky fans got to listen to it for the very first time.

“The First Wave” EP looks like it’s going to be hot, judging from the single’s we’ve already heard and its performance on download charts. However, we won’t deny feeling a bit of fomo after finding out that industry people from Nigeria got the chance to hear it before anybody else.

African arts and culture blog, OkayAfrica have described the EP as having “Endless Replay Value” in an interview with the singer.

The publication also asked him specific questions about his melodic flow and he describes it below:

“One thing I thrive on is the fact that my flow is really, really, really dope. Most times I don’t even write, I like to get the flow down first by humming then I write according to the flow. When you write before you flow, it is not always fluent. Anybody can spit dope lines, it’s about how you present these dope lines. For me, flow is very, very important.”
