Besiktas have reportedly joined the chase to seal the transfer of Barcelona midfielder and rumoured Arsenal target Arda Turan this summer.
The 30-year-old playmaker has not been a regular for Barca in his two seasons at the club, with the Gunners recently linked with a £26million bid for his services.
Sporting Lisbon are also said to be among the clubs interested in Turan, but latest reports suggest he could make his way back to his native Turkey.
According to Sport, Turan has not yet decided on his future, though the option of a move to the Chinese Super League looks to be off his agenda for the moment.
This could see Besiktas swoop for the Turkey international, and they look to have the financial muscle to see off competition from their rivals for his signature.
Turan started his career as Besiktas’ rivals Galatasaray, playing 197 games for them before making a name for himself at Atletico Madrid.
Turan was part of the 2013/14 Atletico squad that won La Liga and reached the Champions League final, and he has gone on to win another title plus two Copas del Rey in his two seasons at the Nou Camp.
